Tribunal Update

The IWPR includes an article on the appeals chamber's decision to sentence Stanislav Galic to life imprisonment for his role in the Sarajevo siege.
What is particularly significant about this verdict, is that it is the first time a defendant has recieved a life sentence by the ICTY (Milomir Stakic-was originally sentenced to life; but on appeals his sentence was reduced to 40 years).

Trials related to atrocities at the infamous Omarska concentration camp begin in Sarajevo

And Seselj's trial has been adjourned due to the self-inflicted health problems of the accused.

And not related to the tribunal/war crime trials, but nevertheless interesting, an article from BIRN on the effects of the RS sector's selling their telecom company.
