Turning the lens on ourselves

A rather interesting article on the hit TV show, "Veliki Brat" Serbia's version of "Big Brother."

So according to the article, Serbian women adored Bosniak guy Elmir who apparently became a star in Serbia - and then Elmir got killed... ops...

If anyone knows how to report this "barb michelen" to Blogger as a spammer they'd be doing the world a service. The real culprit is a firm called Cyber Junky, Inc. of 1042 N. El Camino Real B358 Encinitas, Ca. 92024. If anyone knows how to complain to the relevant Californian authorities I'm sure Encinitas would be a better place without their rubbish spewing forth from there.

Owen,

I have received tons of spam messages from this person. What they do is they purchase a software which does the work for them (they do nothing). The software goes and posts messages to hundreds of thousands of blogs, forums, etc. So, in a relatively short time, they spread their message to millions of users, and that's how these fu*kers make money, while me and you have to get up early and work.

At the end of the day YKM these parasites have their roots in the real world. Perhaps someone passing by here knows Encinitas.

California Attorney General's Office might be where to start, I am sure they have an 800# all the Best People do these days. Aside from that, I eliminate spam the old fashioned way, by requireing approval, and then just don't let them have a say. I will publish a lot of flame before I will allow in one spam.

Shaina, have you seen this announcement: http://www.birn.eu.com/en/1/20/7316/

So it seems that BIRN's investigative reporting isn't going to be generally accessible, just news in brief.

I've just e-mailed BIRN with the following: "Certainly the sums of money charged are small in relation to the effort that has gone into producing the material but your retreat behind the subscription fence is going to have a devastating effect on people who rely on citing BIRN articles as a source of truth about the realities of the Balkan War and the ongoing hunt to achieve justrice for the victims."

It's alright for people working for foundations and academic institutions but it seems as though individuals like you and me and Dan and Kirk who don't have big pockets are going to be shut out from one of the most important sources of truth about the Balkan Wars and their aftermath.

Thanks for the info about BIRN. I'm sure that the costs of running their site is high; but I know that I'm definently going to miss the ability to read all of their in-depth articles.

That sucks. On the other hand, it ain't easy putting substantive investigative reporting on the web for everybody to read for free, either.
