Bosnian Director Danis Tanovic has been keeping himself busy lately. He recently launched a new political party, "Our Party" in an attempt to find a political alternative to the corruption and squabling that appears to characterize much of the mainstream BiH political scene right now.
And he is also directing a new film, "Triage"based on the novel of the same title by Scott Anderson.

Danis Tanovic is making a full out of himself. People like him are very dangerous because they forget too quickly, too easily. Over 1,500 children died in Sarajevo; 50,000 people we wounded. And yet, Danis Tanovic is ready to "move on" and forgive. To his credit, he is not the only one. I've heard from my friends that Bosniak children and teens still listen to Serbian music. They particularly enjoy to listen "Ceca Raznjatovic", former girlfriend of war criminal Zeljko Raznjatovic. Serbian musicians still entertain Bosniaks in caffe bars, cheers to that! If we continue like this, hopefully we just disapear the face of this planet.
correction: 50,000 people were wounded
Yeah just what BiH needs! Another political party! BiH now officially has more political parties than anyplace in the world!
Dan, if you want to know what the really discerning music critic thinks of Ceca's music go to the ever modest Katja's latest post (9 April 2008)- http://yakimagulagliterarygazett.blogspot.com/
