In Memoriam: Dith Pran

If the name Dith Pran does not immiediately ring any bells, than the movie inspired by his plight, during the Cambodian Genocide; "The Killing Fields" almost certainly will.

In a day and age where the word "hero" is most often associated with athletic stars for no reason other than their on the field feats; Dith Pran was a living example.

Terrible to think that we have seen so many horrors since Cambodia that many people are unaware of what happened between Nazi Germany and Bosnia.

What's really freaky is watching "The Killing Fields" right after reading "Animal Farm!"

RIP Dith Pran.

I cannot forget Cambodia, I taught English to many Cambodian refugee children as a volunteer at my children's first school!
